When we opened for lunch, we promised the full brunch menu was coming soon. Here it is.

Starting Sunday, October 25, The 1879 serves brunch every Sunday from 11am to 3pm, on both the Restaurant side and the Pub side. Think benedicts, omelettes, breakfast tacos, sweet cakes, and a few house favorites we think you'll come back for.

What we're serving

A first look at the brunch menu

Benedicts, omelettes and sandwiches come with your choice of side: fresh fruit, mixed greens, breakfast potatoes, grits, or cheese grits.

House favorites

• The Fowlkes St. BreakfastTwo eggs your way, your choice of bacon, breakfast sausage, sliced ham or Italian sausage, a side, and toasted sourdough with strawberry preserve. Upgrade to a 10 oz steak.
• Sunshine PizzaOur signature-style focaccia with house-made cheese sauce, melted mozzarella, crispy bacon, Italian sausage and scrambled eggs, finished with fresh arugula. Add Mike's Hot Honey.
• Breakfast TacosCorn and flour tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, chorizo, avocado and melted Jack and cheddar, topped with fresh pico de gallo.

Benedicts

• The BLTEToasted English muffins with bacon, greens and tomato, topped with poached eggs and hollandaise.
• Holly HamGrilled ham and tomato with poached eggs, hollandaise, parmesan and fresh parsley.
• Green LeafSpinach, tomato and avocado with poached eggs, hollandaise and a touch of red pepper flakes.

Omelettes

• Avo-StackLoaded with ham, bacon and avocado, finished with melted Jack cheese.

• Butcher's OmeletteBacon, ham and Italian sausage with melted mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil.

Sandwiches

• The Hot Breakfast SandwichTwo English muffins layered with sausage, scrambled eggs, melted Jack cheese and a drizzle of hot honey.
• The ClubGrilled or fried chicken with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayo on toasted sourdough.
• The Club BowlCrispy roasted potatoes with bacon, roasted onions and tomatoes, avocado and Jack and cheddar, topped with two eggs and three cheese balls.

Plus the BLTE, Dijon Ham & Cheese, Harvest Sandwich and Avocado Toast.
